Bellydance & Pain Relief |
Through the many movements of bellydance, Synovial fluid is increased which helps lubricate joints. The proper posture of a bellydancer requires you to slightly tuck your pelvic upward into a neutral position which can help alleviate lower back pain. If you do desk work for long hours each day, bellydance can help relieve back stress by counteracting the compression of the disks that occur from sitting at your desk. Not to mention it'll improve your posture like you won't believe.
Bellydance uses the entire body so when you're dancing you'll be working core muscles, arms, upper back, abdominals, particularly lower abs, along with glutes, thighs, calves and hamstring muscles. It's a total body dance form, right down to our fingers and our toes!
